About Bird’s Nest Studios

My name is Kristin Schaeffer. I’m the owner of Bird’s Nest Studios and its lead designer. I started unknowingly drawing mandalas when I was in high school. I doodled and drew constantly back then. My circular drawings or radials, I called them, were therapy for my teenage soul.

I let 17 years pass between drawing radials and drawing mandalas. Now they’re my meditations and I learn from each one.

In 2017 I decided I should do something with them all, so I published a coloring book, and I began putting them on clothes. I was shocked when I saw how many people LOVED the clothes with my mandalas on them! So Bird’s Nest Studios was born.

I couldn’t be happier than I am creating art and then making functional items from it, and it’s my absolute pleasure to pass that happiness on to my customers. 

My promise to my customers is that I am always trying to improve my products: whether that means better quality, low prices, production times, or more interesting and wearable designs, I am working for you.
